At Geddes Free Range, the philosophy is simple: ethically produced foods at a fair price. We provide high quality foods, home grown in the Highlands, and deliver them direct to your door – either in person, or by post.
Geddes Home Farm
Geddes Free Range is a small family business with old fashioned farming at its heart. Personally run by Lorne and Sadie Watson, we believe and practice the highest standards of animal welfare with low stocking densities and slow grown traditional breeds that roam outdoors on fresh pasture as nature intended. The results are healthy, happy animals and exceptional tasting produce.
Reared almost twice as long as standard livestock, our chickens and pigs enjoy regular human contact and are produced to the highest standards to minimise stress and maximise flavour. We have our own processing plant at Geddes Home Farm for the chickens while the pigs are bedded in deep straw at the local abattoir the night before production.
Food Friends
In addition to our free range eggs, chicken and pork, we sell top quality local produce from our handpicked food friends – Edinvale Farm Beef, Loch Gorm Lamb, Wester Ross Salmon, Really Garlicky Garlic, Connage Dairy Cheese and Homemade Porridge Oatcakes.
Green Geddes
In keeping with our traditional farming methods, Geddes Free Range strives to minimise its environment impact by sourcing local, natural feeds; using local suppliers wherever possible; supporting other local producers; and by using minimal food packaging.
